I use this everyday for my local news. Cant believe this app exists !!! I hope to see an Apple TV version soon! Love this app!

Nice app to view local news from around the country, either live or recent shows plus news clips. Great when youre out of town and want to catch up.

When this app was first released, there was an easy way to browse available stations and select. Now, there is no obvious method to change stations. The whole point of an app like this is to select stations far away! Location services are no help.

When watching a live stream of a channel, the volume is locked on its max level, even if you try to turn it down

NewsON is fantastic! Delivers exactly as promised... provides news feeds from everywhere. And, if that isnt enough, you can watch previous broadcasts. I stream it from an iPad mini to my Apple TV 2, and the broadcasts are smooth with no buffering. Thanks NewsON for bringing one step closer to cutting the cable!

This is an excellent app! I can find local news for where I live (Tulsa, Oklahoma) and play it on my chromecast device! I give 3 stars for one bug: the cast to chromecast menu shows in another language. I think it is German. I have tried it on both my and my dads iPhones and it is indeed showing the same way. I can still get it to work because it is a simple menu, but still it is a bug.

This really rocks. Interface seems confusing but once you understand the many panes you realize how powerful it is.

Works well for those who want to catch up on the news without the bother of a TV and perhaps a cable subscription. It will even let you select individual stories, so you don’t have to wait for the one story you want. You can even follow local news from the other side of the country. The downside is a big one. Selecting the particular city and station you watch is clumsy, forcing you to hunt through a long and unorganized scrolling list. A better option would be a single command that displays a map of the U.S. Tap on the state, and it would show a map of that state with the cities with stations indicated. Tap on that city to get to the station. I’m not sure if they have it, since I’m still learning the UI, but it’s also be great if users could have a list of favorites, both of stations and shows. There’s a lot of good content available through this app. They just need to work on the UI.

I love this app. I live in Florida and grew up in various parts of the country and can now watch the local news from anywhere at anytime. Thank you for this app. The streams are very reliable and the app is very well put together.

Live TV that actually works on an iOS device. Please oh please develop a version for Apple TV!!

Better quality video then local news app.

You can watch the local news for most big cities in the USA without a cable subscription, on your phone and/or iPad, anywhere you can possibly think of! Great app! Love the favorites option, where you can save multiple cities of your choosing for easy access. Highly recommended app! Well worth the download! **ONLY ONE RECOMMENDATION FOR THE DEVELOPERS: LAS VEGAS NEWS STATIONS PLEASE. THANKS!**

I loved this app,the only bad parts is that I cant watch my favorite CBS KDKA-TV Station. If that channel came thru, then Id tickled pink!! These apps are always about advertising and making money (they earn,not us).We could make our own apps but wed have to get all the proper licenses and I bet thatd be difficult?! Thanks

Great place for all your news of the day. But hd is in and out just tiny little problem they will fix Im sure.

This app is great to catch up on local news when away from home. Also cool to watch local news from around the country. Thank you for such a great app.

This has become my go-to news app for live viewing. You can select your favorite station based on personal preferences, or choose a station close to where you are at the moment. My favorite local news stations arent available for live viewing on the DirecTV app, but I can certainly watch them from this app: ABC, CBS, NBC & Fox (& it seems like more are being added daily). You can even select categories of news you want to watch (election, weather, uplifting, healthy living, politics, etc) as well as closed captioning. Remember to swipe right to select the channel you want to watch and left for video clips. Great job, developers!

This is my app I go to for local news across the country The only thing I suggest is when some local news add newscast will you be updating the app and also adding more news channels in other states

Love this app! As a news junkie, I love being able to watch news from across the country. The video quality is great and the UI is easier to use.
